Karen's Reflection: First Three weeks of Highschool

For the first three weeks here at South El Monte, I didn't really feel welcomed at all. The teachers are nice and I  feel like I don't have anyone close to me like I did at my middle school. I have a sister who's a senior right now and she's trying to teach me how to do things on my own and help me with other things. For example, she knows I don't like to socialize with other people so she helps introduce myself to her friends. But sometimes, I'd feel comfortable that I can still hang with some of my other friends form middle school. I noticed that some of my friends still help me out whenever they have the chance, but my some of my other friends aren't with me anymore like they use to be and that makes me feel so sad. I don't like how high school can change people. Although change is good, it can also be bad. Anyways, I think that some of my classes are challenging, but I believe that is just one step closer to my bright future I will accomplish.
I kind of like Industrial Tech Core because it has projects you can do in a group and there's no homework sometimes; just only when you don't finish class work. But I think that this class helps you get to know how to do things on your own when you want to create something new. I know how much today's world and society is based and focuses on technology and this class will help me be prepared for that world.
